Congratulations to Our Authors

Greetings, Voyagers! Extra special post today as congratulations are in order 😊. R. F. Kuang and Caitlin Starling have both snagged wins this last few weeks: R. F. Kuang is the winner of the Astounding Award for Best New Writer, and Caitlin Starling’s The Luminous Dead is the victor of The Ladies of Horror Fiction Award for Best Debut!

We, the team at Harper Voyager, are so proud of both Kuang and Starling. We consider ourselves extraordinarily lucky to have them as our authors. Three hoorays for these two lovely writers; can’t wait to see what more they have in store!!

And while not everyone can come home with hardware, it truly is an honor to have these amazing books and authors nominated:

Hugo Award:

To Be Taught, If Fortunate by Becky Chambers (Best Novella)

Becoming Superman by J. Michael Straczynski (Best Related Work)

Locus Award:

The Grand Dark by Richard Kadrey (Best Horror)

The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling (Best First Novel)

To Be Taught, If Fortunate (Best Novella)

Harper Voyager (Best Publisher!)

And we’re so proud of John Hornor Jacobs, whose A Lush and Seething Hell has been nominated for the World Fantasy Award for Best Collection (the winner to be announced in November)

We’re honored to be part of the Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror community as we continue to publish new stories, adventures, and worlds for our readers. Let’s celebrate this achievement with big cheers (glass of wine or beer optional 😉) and even bigger smiles. Once again, a HUGE congrats to our nominees and winners, and to all the amazing nominees and winners in our broader SFFH family! It’s often said, it takes a village, and it does, which is why we’re so proud to be part of this one.
