2014 Voyager books added to must-read lists

2014 is going to be a big year for Harper Voyager — we have so many fabulous books being published! We can’t wait for you guys to be able to read all of them, and it seems that a few reviewers online are in the same boat. Three  Voyager books have been included in “best of 2014” lists, so you don’t only have to take our word for it!

Barnes & Noble book blogger Paul Goat Allen included THE UNDEAD POOL by Kim Harrison in his list of “Most Anticipated Sci-fi and Fantasy Releases of 2014.”  Allen says of the book, out on Feb. 25: “After Rachel Morgan barely saved the demonic realm of the ever-after, strange magic has been seeping into The Hollows, straining the peace between supernaturals and humans. The penultimate installment of a fantastic paranormal fantasy series, The Undead Pool is an absolute must read. I’ve talked with a few reviewers who’ve read it, and they’ve confirmed that it’s filled with jaw-dropping plot twists.” You can get your copy on pre-order today!

i09 did a month-by-month round-up of “All the Essential Science Fiction and Fantasy Books Coming in 2014.” They included QUEEN OF THE DARK THINGS, the sequel to Dreams and Shadows by acclaimed screenwriter C. Robert Cargill. They say, “In the sequel to Dreams and Shadows, the wizard Colby has saved Austin from an army of fairies — but now everybody knows who he is, and a lot of people want something from him. Mostly payback.” This fairytale mash-up will be out on May 13.

i09 also included FISH TAILS by Sheri S. Tepper, the third book in the series that began with The Plague of Angels and The Waters Rising. Abasio and Xulai and their children travel from village to village scattered across the sparsely populated land of Tingawa. They are searching for others who might be interested in adopting their sea-dwelling lifestyle. The book is out on August 5.
